A little update about the video with Matik

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s post from the blog of Jack Fawsitt Productions. Today, I am going to give you a bit of an update surrounding the video with Matik.

If you have not seen my last post, I am in the process of creating my first interview video with an upcoming reggae artist, who goes by the stage name of ‘Matik’. I mentioned in the last post that I have began the process of editing the video. However in this post, I want to talk about something that could change the editing process.

Originally, I would have liked to include reggae music to fit into the Jamaican reggae theme of the video, but I tried this out and the video just did not sound right. Therefore, I have swapped out the reggae music with some more general music from a producer called Lakey Inspired.

Furthermore, the video is taking longer to edit because of two reasons. One, I have a part-time job, and this leaves me to my days off to edit the video. Second, I recorded the video in 3840x2160 resolution, which is good and all, but the bit rates of the video files caused my computer to crash and wipe the video edit clean, forcing me to redo the whole video.

I hope to get the final product out some time this month (July 2019). Thank you for reading.

This is something I have never done before

This post is to tell you that I am going to try out a new style of video that I have never tried before: an interview.

For this first interview, I have selected a person that would make a great start for this series. ‘Matik’ is an upcoming reggae artist originally from Ocho Rios, Jamaica, but now based in the US. At the end of June, I sat down with him (which was ironic considering that the entire interview was filmed standing up) and we talked about his music career, his inspirations for the music, and what the future holds for this aspiring artist.

As soon as I get the video edited, I will let you know in a future blog post onto this blog.

Finally, if you want to be part of this series, you must have an interesting story or unique attribute about you, that you want to world to see. If that is the case, let me know, and I will consider filming the story for YouTube.
