- All Miami-Dade Public Schools are ordered to close until at least 30 March, as well as the majority of privately run schools and universities, which are switching to online tutoring
- Panic buying has swept the county, with multiple supermarkets running out of stock across most or all of their inventory

- Miami Beach announces new restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19, including a ban of large gatherings, the re-opening of Ocean Drive to traffic, and the closure of South Beach for a thorough deep-cleaning
- The Frost Museum of Science is temporarily closing for an unspecified amount of time
- In other news, US President Donald Trump has announced that the UK and Ireland will be included in the Europe-wide travel ban effective Monday 16 March, due to COVID-19 concerns

- 39 new Coronavirus cases were announced in Florida, including 5 new cases in Miami-Dade County. This brings the total number of cases in the State to 107 Florida residents
- Miami-Dade Public Schools will start providing meals to all students starting Monday
- Miami Beach introduces a 23:00 curfew for the city’s entertainment district, and all non-essential businesses in the city will close at 22:00
- Cases jump to 136 Florida residents in less than 24 hours
- All restaurants, clubs and bars in Miami-Dade County must close by 23:00, with capacity in all of the above (plus cinemas) to be cut in half, per orders from Miami-Dade County Mayor: Carlos Gimenez. The order will come into effect tomorrow.

- The Miami Beach curfew begins tonight, and will occur every night from 23:00-05:00 until further notice
- Key Biscayne also has a curfew from 22:00-05:00

- Francis Suarez signs order closing all bars, eat-in restaurants, gyms, nightclubs, cinemas, bowling alleys and music venues in the City of Miami because of the Coronavirus
- Across the state of Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis has closed all bars and sit-down restaurants in Florida after 17:00 today. This closure will last for 30 days
- All Miami-Dade schools will be closed until at least 15 April

- Miami-Dade County has an executive order restricting or closing non-essential services and activities, goes into effect 19 March

- Miami-Dade County closes all parks and beaches at 09:00, and all non-essential services must close by 21:00. This essentially puts the County on a de-facto lockdown

- New jobs are available at Walmart and Publix, due to increased demand at supermarkets in Miami because of the Coronavirus

- An executive order has been signed by Miami-Dade County, which forces all hotels and motels within the county to close
