Matheson Hammock Park - 25 June 2017

This post is about a visit to Matheson Hammock Park in Miami, Florida (United States) on 25 June 2017.

Matheson Hammock Park is a park and beach resort located just off the road near Pinecrest, FL. The park contains an atoll as well as a beach where people can relax and enjoy the refreshing summer breezes that cool off the existing summer temperatures. The park also contains a harbour where boats can leave and set sail (rather quickly) into the ocean. The city centre of Miami can be seen from the coast of Matheson Hammock Park, as well as South Beach, Coral Gables, and numerous island communities.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of Matheson Hammock Park, although it is advisable to bring some essential supplies to overcome the heat. Number one is sun cream - as from my experience, I burnt very badly by only spending a couple of hours in the sun. Furthermore, bring bottled water in order to cool yourself down in the scorching South Florida heat.
